has created a network known as “The Kingdom of Barter” as a vehicle
for individuals and small business who have an interest in creating
wealth without cash.
Described
in its simplest form, a barter transaction has taken place when two
parties swap items of equivalent value. If you are really creative,
you can isolate intangible assets you may possess including
knowledge, wisdom, unique talents and skills, social and political
influence, educational background, credentials, fame, social skills,
time, experience, etc, and trade them to others in exchange for what
you want or need.
According
to estimates made by The International Reciprocal Trade Association
(one of the more prominent organizations within the
barter/reciprocal trade industry), more than 450,000 companies in
the United States use barter in their businesses. These companies
produce over 10 billion dollars in annual sales. According to the
United States Department of Commerce, as much as 2.2 trillion of the
10.9 trillion dollars in world commerce conducted annually is done
through barter. Globally, over 480,000 businesses and six out of
every ten Fortune 500 companies report engagement in barter at some
level.
Is barter
